Red Exclamation Marks[edit]
I try to look at the red exclamation marks & the edit for the New World Encyclopedia wasn't instantaneously understandable. As thinking hurts and it was made by a BoN, I asked for an explanation & reverted it (I felt the Power)... larronsicut fur in nocte 21:36, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- I went through them all and then went to the last one and hit "rollback". In the meantime you had undone only the last edit, so I went back to the pre-BoN version and saved that. One edit BoN made was to insert weird argumentative language into the middle of an obviously quoted section. Which I am now hunting for the source of (http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Info:Project_Vision), which no longer (did it ever?) matches what we have. ħuman 21:40, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Would Loya Jirga consider temporarily blocking RobSmith about the WP stuff? This is getting out of hand. Šţěŗĭļė lock shucker 17:33, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

- LJ is finished? Shum mistake?--BobSpring is sprung! 18:47, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Probably not finished, although not really started either. Given that the retirement template went up within a minute of this & this one, it looks like part of Susan's L&NCB thing, although it's supposed to be a shared account. My comment above was not entirely serious, but I think there's a lot of uncertainty about what the LJ is there for, when it's supposed to kick in & how it's supposed to work. 2 Questions....[edit]
Has the LJ been retired? I am aware nothing happened with it but it served a good purpose at the time - the whole process brough the site back together again. Secondly, someone wanna give me a brief on this RobSmith/WP thing? Whats happened? Acei9 23:26, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Q1 - No. Susan put up a retired template unilaterally. To retire the Loya Jirga we would need to invent the Grand Tribunal, who are more powerful still. All will quail before their judgement. Mei (talk) 23:31, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Q2, best places to start would be Sid and Trent's talk pages, and the wp:talk:conservapedia. ħuman 23:35, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Q2. The short version is Rob figured that he had something he could hold over RW, so he started bitching on WP about who founded RW and insisting it be changed to PalMD being the sole founder. He immediately took it to as many boards as he could, and was uniformly told he was full of shit. Now he's trying to get it changed back to the version with mistakes in it then deleted, apparently to get rid of the history, then have mention of RW removed from the CP article over there. All the while leaving cryptic threats of dragging all and sundry before ARBCOM and whatever other board he can get his hands on. He's way less lucid through this than he usually is, and that's saying something. If I got something wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. --Kels (talk) 23:43, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- I thought this discussion came out of the argument that random guy started about RW editors conducting "warfare" at WP. Now I'm even more confused. Mei (talk) 23:46, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- This thing with Rob flared up right right after that thing fizzled out. I wouldn't be surprised if they're in cahoots. WěǎšěǐǒǐďMethinks it is a Weasel 23:56, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- I might have missed something at the start, but where it stands currently is Rob threatening people and having a hard-on for keeping discussions off WP and getting the RW article over there deleted rather than kept or made a redirect. --Kels (talk) 23:53, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

LJ and process etc.[edit]
Random factoids:
- The user "LJ" never became the "shared account" it was intended to be.
- When Susan left and never coming backed, she explicitly said she'd return if the Licentious Jellybeans was called into session.
- We have no idea how to call the Lumpy Jitters into session, how or where.
- I suggest we use RobS' insanity as a "test case", to experiment with process.
Here is what I propose. We use the forum for "cases". Each case becomes a new subforum. Whoever opens a case should 1. be directly affected by whatever they are complaining about and 2. use the "email this user" feature to inform each of The Seven of the new case 3. make sure they present their complaint clearly with good difflinks to evidences.
You guys want to give it a try? ħuman 23:33, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- I can't guarantee I'd be able to fully engage, since I'm in finals for the next month or so, but otherwise no arguments. --Kels (talk) 23:35, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- The minimum requirement for any LJ member would be to pop in and say they're too busy and to carry on without them. ħuman 23:39, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

- Dang, don't ban me; I'd loose my COI in editing wp:RationalWiki (could look petty and be a tragedy if the RW entry at WP survives and boatload of RW editors get banned by WP:Arbcom). Jeezusshhhh........ nobsdon't bother me 23:41, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Wouldn't a foot lover be a podophile, as per "podiatrist"? --Kels (talk) 11:24, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Authenticating my email[edit]
I can't get the authentication message that is supposed to get sent to verify my email address, so my email preferences are not working. I have hit the button to send a message manually on 3 occasions, with no luck. The process worked on my Wikiversity account. Could you please look into this? My email is sam4557@gmail.com. SamHB (talk) 06:15, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Human i got an honest question for ya.[edit]
I understand that you don't very like Mormon but can you give me an honest reason why you feel the need to blast em? the main part of the Church (not those pro polygamy)have a better attitude then most Christian, i never saw any Mormon blast someone telling him hes going to hell for not following the book of Mormon, Mormon doctrine are strictly agains't forced conversion (if you forget about converting the dead (they are already dead....so it doesn't really affect them). I'm just trying to understand you, you want to look like a rational guy (sure you are) but your global attitude is a bit over zealous...note that im not trying to restart our earlier *incident* i just want to know why there so much hate toward them.Waronstupidity (talk) 00:10, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- To address your questions/comments in reverse order, whatever happened yesterday happened yesterday (what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas), and pibot will archive it in a few days. Keep in mind the thing in the CS that says (due to observation) that tow users can be busy having a bitter argument in one place while happily sharing a freshly roasted goat in another. Next, I'm not against polygamy/polyandry, I think any people who want to form a family should be allowed to, and be recognized as such legally (tax codes, health issues, "divorce" processes, etc.). As far as any given religion, basically, although I know that some/many religions promote "good behavior", I find the supernatural aspects of how they do it to be a little hard to swallow. One can pursue good behavior without worshiping or fearing an imaginary friend(s). At the root level, I consider all religions to be "fake" because they base their fundamental precepts on fictional constructs. ħuman 01:01, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

What you don't get[edit]
I'm not entirely clear on what you don't understand, could you please explain? The basic idea is supposed to be that the fun page I want to make will consist of a number of "tips," along with examples (both from fiction, and for real-world conspiracy theories) of conspiracies that followed or failed to follow these tips. For example, one tip is not to leave signs of your conspiracy everywhere when you don't have anything to gain from it. The Masons fail on this point, since they put coded symbols on all our money for no discernible reason.--Mustex (talk) 10:52, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Edumacation[edit]
So I herd you liekd the old Deresiewicz article I pointed to. I have a few more oldish articles on the State of the Academy (the US Academy, mostly) and I thought one or two the following might interest you:
- Love on Campus
- In the Basement of the Ivory Tower
- The '60s Begin to Fade as Liberal Professors Retire
- Who Needs Harvard?
Please to enjoy. mb 04:05, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. Regarding the first article, maybe Educating Rita would be a good early example. Also, that Oleanna film, I own it, it's agonizing to watch. As the tag line says, "whatever you think, you're wrong". ħuman 06:32, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I don't know Educating Rita and I haven't seen any of the films the article mentions either. Any of them worth watching? mb 13:14, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Human human human. What are you listening to or eating? Mei (talk) 00:19, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- "Says You" on WGBH radio. And I'm eating a beer. Well, an ale, to be exact. ħuman 00:34, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- What is 'Says You'? Mei (talk) 00:54, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- http://www.saysyou.net/ it's a word game show. ħuman 00:57, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Is it fun? I am listening to music from 1997 and eating bacon & bread. Mei (talk) 01:12, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, it's witty and mildly informative. I am now eating Scotch and a cigarette. Bacon and bread sounds tasty. I like bacon and I like bread. I also like Eggo waffles with butter and maple syrup. Have 'GBH playing jazz in the background, about to start another cryptic puzzle (or one I haven't been able to do much of). Oh! That reminds me, puzzlecrypt's new (monthlyu) puzzle will be posted now! Time to go print it! ħuman 02:31, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Human human human! I don't really know what 'cryptic puzzles' are. Is there a special sort or are they just puzzles? Bacon and bread is very nice, and easy to make. You just fry bacon and put it in bread. It is basically genius. I'm not allowed to make waffles, because of mayhem. Mei (talk) 05:53, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Cryptic puzzles are a bit like "regular" crossword puzzles, except that 1) there are a lot fewer crossing words in most cases, and, most importantly, 2) the clues are insane. For instance, to use Frank's explanation, "ground rules" = "lures". Get it? Grind up "rules" and you get "lures". Wikipedia has a great article on them, and I have a fistfull of links to them at this dump. Personally, I don't mind the expense of pre-cooked bacon, since cooking it is so messy - I once heard you are supposed to cook it nekkid, since the splattering fat (too hot) will be obvious. 10 seconds per slice on high, yummy bacon. Of course I get robbed of the grease, which could be used to make the most awesome food in existence, "fried bread". Sorry waffles make mayhem. Toaster waffles are actually fairly safe. ħuman 06:02, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- I thought crossword clues were always insane. I don't find cooking bacon so messy, but I would not want to do it naked because it would sting. I agree with the fried bread principle. Toaster waffles sound exotic. Mei (talk) 06:10, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed. I have kissed a handful of boys, and it never stung, but toasted waffles are extremely feng shui. Done right, anyway. ħuman 06:22, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
- You lost me with the kissing and feng shui parts. (Boys probably don't sting you unless you ask specially) Mei (talk) 08:47, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

You allowed this website to become a fascist pit of ignominy.[edit]

PS, I know what a fortnight is, I just don't know a simple way to remember to check for the new puzzle every couple weeks. ħuman 23:27, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

- I was only concerned because when it was done installing it said it was all set to work on IE. But all you do is d/l the file and open it in x-lite anyway. Worked perfectly and printed very nicely, thanks. That would be awesome if you mark the fortnights on your user page! Nothing in my life is fortnightly, so I have nothing to sync to. If I was UKian I guess I'd see the new on on the newstand and that would cue me, but here I got nothing. Thanks! ħuman 01:11, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Space as sort key[edit]
Why not? It's an elegant way of putting the main article in a category at the front, instead of being buried somewhere in the middle of the list. -- Nx / talk 04:16, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- But why not simply write text with a link before the listing? ħuman 04:17, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- You can do that too, nothing's stopping you. It just looks silly to have the main article buried somewhere in the list, regardless of the link in the category description -- Nx / talk 04:19, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- But what the main article is might vary over time. For instance, Constitution wasn't even in cat:constitution! So I can see why RA thought US Const was the main article. Merkin blinders and all stopped him from seeing beyond that. It is better, I think, to write "portal" like intros to categories if we can, linking to the most important articles. ħuman 04:22, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- So what if it changes? We just change the sort key (although in the case of new age, I don't see how the main article of that category could be anything else). You can write a portal-like intro, the two options are not exclusive. -- Nx / talk 04:26, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- True, but once the intro is there, it doesn't matter if the "main article" is simply alphabetized, does it? ħuman 04:29, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

You can leave your post as is if you were actually voting.

- Why not just ignore him? Unless he starts adding untrue or unsourced statements to the article, don't give him the time of day. Keegscee (talk) 21:28, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- Likely the best approach (and mostly followed by people if you ignore some snark, and we can work on cutting that back, too). I simply don't see any content dispute we could resolve since Rob is just repeating his little lies ("LA Times says that Lipson is the founder of RW!" for example) over and over again while at the same time hoping to pick up candid remarks he can twist for his own purposes. I can understand Papa November being wary, but that doesn't mean that he's 100% right in his recommendations. Rob is trolling too much (and offering too little in the Solid Argument department) for regular dispute resolution, but isn't (apparently) trolling enough to get his ass handed to him by an admin - which I find quite surprising and disappointing. Can you really get away with almost two months of talk page trolling with not even an official warning? --Sid (talk) 21:40, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
- PapaNovember is quite correct that at this stage, ignoring or dispute resolution is the way to go. Except for the bit where he pressured the slandered to shut up. If people from RationalWiki feel they are being slandered and have been threatened by a Wikipedia admin not to fuss about it, going to the Foundation is the next step - David Gerard (talk) 21:48, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

singularity[edit]
Trus me - is factual - all physics breaks down at the singularity because the singualrity, like the primoridal atom of the early big bang theory, contains the laws and dimensions. Though it should be noted that this is disfavoured under modern Inflation/Big Bang theory. After being banned from aSK for trying to educate PJR on Inflation Theory I have been doing a shitload of catch-up reading on modern cosmology/astrophysics in order to educate him when my block ends......which will of course end up in another block. Acei9 07:54, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- OK, mostly I was trying to copyedit, sorry if I was mucking up the physics trying to make the Britlish sparkle. I still don't like the idea of "all the laws" though, that seems awkward even from a physics point of view. ħuman 09:57, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- The idea that the universe started as a singularity is now fairly old hat. It harks backs as early as pre-big bang (though progenitor to the big bang) idea of a "primordial atom". The singularity was an idea to describe the pre-bang state. An "atom" (or state if you will) wherein all laws and dimensions were intertwined, to be released as a "big bang". Inflation theory does away with this ideal so the singularity has fallen out of favour as a big bang beginning point. However, as with inflation and with the singularity, the laws of physics are always thought to have existed (in this universe - however defined). Indeed, they are the watchmaker. A blind one notwithstanding. Acei9 10:10, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
- OK. When I read "all laws of physics" it strikes me that it might mean "all possible laws of physics". So I changed it to all the laws... I still think the writing needs work, but it is hard to write about the theoretical unknown in a simple manner. ħuman 10:22, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Wiki tools for web pages[edit]
You mentioned some time ago that you wished you had wiki tools for editing your website. Have you ever tried something like TiddlyWiki? You'd still probably have to upload it everytime, but it does make for a nice, self-contained platform with some wiki functions. RW 1.0[edit]
No, but I did read something somewhere (must've been here in RW 2.0) that two users did maintain complete records, the disasterbate founder & someone else (might've been you or Colin, can't remember). nobsdon't bother me 05:39, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sadly, no. Trent does not have the RW 1 dB, and of course Colin doesn't since he disappeared into "life" shortly after registering the url. Sure wasn't me. Many of us saved "surfaces", or history-lacking last versions - my user page and talk page here both include those archives, and many userboxes here were copied en masse between the Purge and the Resurrection. It's been an interesting three years. The minor problem I have with your copies is that they lack context - previous edits and possible later edits. It's a pity that RW 1 has been lost, it was a fun time. ħuman 05:44, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

What's the point of this?[edit]
I don't want to get into an edit war with you. You've obviously been here much longer than I have, and you're welcome to revert any of my edits if I broke some explicit or unwritten rule that I'm not familiar with. But I'm pretty sure deleting something because it doesn't tickle your particular funny bone isn't a valid reason, especially when there's a voting system in place to let everyone judge it. If you're able to come up with something better, go ahead, but please don't simply scrap it unless you can give a reason apart from you thinking it's stupid. Again, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, certainly not over a silly joke like that, but imposing your subjective opinion like that frankly pisses me off. Röstigraben (talk) 10:13, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- You added a completely lame addition to a perfectly fine wigo. The voting up was based on the version before you made a mess of it. Also, while I do remember the "incident", when asking a question as you are above, generally it is good form to include a difflink or at least tell your interlocutor what the hell you are talking about. And, yeah, your addition added nothing of use, as I recall. If you want to discuss it further, please at least paste in a difflink here so I can remember what we were arguing about yesterday. Thanks for your time. PS, as I recall, I deleted it because it tickled my "stupid" bone. So there. ħuman 10:19, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- Fair enough, here's your difflink. Since you just reverted it an hour or two ago, I assumed you knew what I was referring to. But since I didn't argue with you about anything yesterday, I don't have a clue what the hell you're talking about there. So, just to clarify, you think it's acceptable to simply delete anything you consider stupid? What's the voting system for, then? The author of the original WIGO explicitly asked for someone to edit it, and that's what I did. Röstigraben (talk) 10:37, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I think it is fair to delete stupidity. "Maybe Ken is just disappointed that he couldn't catch another glimpse of this outfit?" Is stupid. If you want that to be voted on - remember, you tacked it onto an already good wigo - try posting it on its own. Zero content and just plain fucking stupid. Sorry to put it so bluntly. Let me rephrase. Zero content and basically lame. It did not improve the wigo or make any sense in any way other than to add a lame joke and put up a useless picture. Yes, maybe the "original" author asked for "help", but your edit was just trash, not help. ħuman 10:45, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

- (EC)It obviously wouldn't have made any sense as a standalone joke. Once again, you're not the sole arbiter of what's funny and what's stupid, that's why there's a voting system. If something gets voted down as a result of an edit, you might have a case for reverting. Or maybe if the original author doesn't like it, although a WIGO is hardly anyone's property, and I don't go around deleting later edits to my WIGOs either. If you still think your individual opinion is so important or objective that you don't have to wait for others to judge an edit, have your way then. Röstigraben (talk) 11:02, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
- You just don't get it, do you? ħuman 11:04, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Keep in mind that what I wrote was essentially "Andy already reacted like a twat in one instance this weekend, oh fuck, I hope he doesn't go for a two-fer." ħuman 01:50, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Also, "acting like a cunt" is deleting talk page comments then arguing with the person who posted them on their talk page without even linking to the alleged cuntly acts. Why didn't you just engage me in the section over at talk wigo cp? Keep in mind, whether I was right, wrong, or something in between, one of our oldest community standards is to not delete talk page comments. What would have "reflected well on the site", to take your side, would have have been an outpouring of "Human you're being an ass" and "Oh, sorry you're right" on the talk page in question, not sweeping it under the rug and then coming here and bitching me out. ħuman 01:52, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- No. You need to listen to the many people who are telling you to stop acting like a fucking idiot. You have been acting more and more like you think you own this site and it's pretty obvious that more and more people are getting more and more pissed off. I've tried to talk to you off-wiki about this but you didn't respond to my email so now you get a bollocking in public.
- This is not your wiki. You do not get to act like a cunt by posting that kind of crap because it does not matter what was going through your head while you were reading it.
- I deleted your talk page comments because they represented exactly that kind of shit we criticise Andy for. The fact that you can't understand this speaks volumes. Now. Are you going to start behaving like the community here means something or are you going to keep getting spanked by users who are pissed off with your fucking awful attitude? Your choice. –SuspectedReplicant retire me 02:04, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Meh, whatever. You broke the rules and handled it the wrong way. Try resending your email, it might have been filtered to trash along with the other 1000 spams I get daily on the email I use for personal business. Tell me it's on the way and I'll check the trash for RationalWiki email. Also, taking wiki business private is also frowned upon... Are you following any of this? ħuman 02:08, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Don't try that. You broke the rules on decency and I reacted accordingly. You were out of order and you know it yet you're now going for some meta-conflict instead. I'm not interested.
- It was an email sent to you and two others about the cockfight over the logo redesign. I know at least one of you got it, and there's no reason the other two of you would have failed to get it either since I have used the same email address to contact you before. I sent it to you three in private because I was trying to spare your blushes, but you've since outdone yourself anyway so yes - I needn't have bothered.
- Basically, sort yourself out. I'd rather "break the rules" (what rule?) by trying to sort something out offline than break public decency by going one step lower down the rungs of decency than Schlafly by trying to make a point from something you think he might say at some point in the future. –SuspectedReplicant retire me 02:15, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Re this edit.
I haven't loaded any RW page since our little chat the other night so I missed the original post in that topic. If I had been online when it was made, I would have removed it exactly as I did in the case that caused our minor and utterly polite disagreement. I'd say give it some time for this BS to blow over before you go re-sysopping him. Not that I mind Neveruse, it's just that he has been acting a little dickish lately, and it isn't like him being a non-sysop for a time is gonna kill him (so long as people keep their banhammers away from him, of course). - "Lately"? His character has been "dickish" for like two years now. But he does not abuse his sysopric, and we don't actually have a rule against dickishness, so why take it away? But if you want to remove it again - with a note saying when it's ok to reinstate for clarity - I won't argue. ħuman 06:22, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Since you asked. Personally I think that the main issue is not so much with the trolls themselves, just a reformulation of the rules regarding removing and/or archiving comments from talk pages. IMHO that is the issue here. --DamoHi 00:22, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi Human,
You posted on an the talk page of Hinduism that you marked my edits as patrolled. Can you explain what this means? Thanks Quazywabbit (talk) 02:05, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes. Since you are not a sysop, your edits have little red exclamation points next to them for sysops on recent changes, etc. So when I mark your edit "patrolled" it means someone who cares has looked at it and says "this is ok". Sorry if the wiki-language made it sound creepy. ħuman 02:13, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

Some bashful speakers even say, "A friend of mine told me that they...."" The use of he as a pronoun for nouns embracing both genders is a simple, practical convention rooted in the beginnings of the English language. Currently, however, many writers find the use of the generic he or his to rename indefinite antecedents limiting or offensive. Substituting he of she in its place is the logical thing to do if it works." As they say on RationalWiki, QED! Notedscholar (talk) 00:17, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

What say you....[edit]
That we re-hash our ancient battles and find some sources for the Gaia hypothesis article? I was looking through it, and there appear to be many areas where sources could be found, but aren't listed. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 05:53, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Lies![edit]
According to you chart, you made David Gerard a bureaucrat. According to his user rights log, however, I was the one who ultimately 'cratted him. I demand you explain yourself! Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 02:44, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Many people have been cratted, uncratted, and recratted. I used the first cratting date for my database. Although "crediting" him to you would at least make the image narrower... Looking through these logs was a strange little window into RW history... ħuman 02:51, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Email[edit]
I has sent you one. Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 19:24, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
Conspiracy is afoot.[edit]
I know you see it. As much as you wish to avoid confrontation, the hour is approaching when you must stand up to the abuses of power now rampant on this site. Silence is no longer an option. Either you make a stand, or Rationalwiki as the once glorious idea it was, will die.
I recommend you move against Gerard first. He is a wikipedian, he is without honour, without humour, and without compassion. He must be the first to go. 86.40.192.109 (talk) 14:34, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- Have you nothing to say for yourself? I appreciate you prevented the authoritarian powers that be from reverting the last edit, but surely you must understand the dangers and authoritarianism now rampant on this site. Are you really so spineless? 86.40.106.222 (talk) 10:26, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, that was Jellyfish. ħuman 02:49, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

- Pretty much, yeah. The baddest ass jelly I ever saw was on a beach in Wales, couple feet across dead on the beach. Up in Nova Scotia on a fambly holydaze we saw lots of little purple jellies on the beach. No spines to speak of. Or backbones. ħuman 05:51, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

- Silly BoN, you should know by now that if there's a conspiracy, Human's in charge of it. Pinto's5150 Talk 09:44, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- It is clearly obvious that Human is a patsy. The conspiracy allows it to appear as though Human is in charge, whilst the truth is he is a powerless figurehead. The conspiracy controls all, at least until MC exposed it. These blockings he receives by those with vested interest are only an attempt to silence him and the claims of trolling are an attempt to discredit him before he finds and exposes the person who is truly behind the conspiracy. It is clearly obvious that MC's efforts have sent the conspiracy into damage control. Keep fighting MC, keep fighting. - π 23:16, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

"An Herbal"[edit]
Is that correct? I was under the impression "an" is only used to prefix words starting with (or sounding as though they do) a vowel? So unless you're talking like the Jamacan girl I knew at Uni ("Are you smoking tha 'erb?") then I wouldn't think that sounded right. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 08:07, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

- I beg to differ. 'An hotel' has been regarded as old-fashioned since at least the late-seventies (according to my father's 1979 copy of A Concise Dictionary of Correct English) and 'a hotel' is perfectly acceptable in British English just as we now say 'a historian' or 'a historical novel'. Of course in some parts of England (Yorkshire?)everybody drops their aitches and even say "an 'ouse". Lily Inspirate me. 09:16, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

You then use this faux outrage to poison the community and introduce emergency, authoritarian measures (Such as indiscriminate blocking and reverting of my edits) In other words you are slime and yes, I would laugh heartily if your cat died as this would cause you to cry. "Plan to attack an editor or editors"[edit]
Since when has Marcus been an "editor"? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 11:07, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- In a literal sense he is an editor as he edits pages telling us that altering what he says is somehow "fascist." But in a sense of editing articles he isn't, as are several long term members of the site, myself included. SJ Debaser 11:23, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- Right on, Superjosh. Frankly its disgusting that Crundy would want to treat me a little better, but then again I'm not surprised. A huge ego, and so little self awareness, that it was somehow inevitable would lose a basic grasp of what constitutes internet genocide. 86.40.200.55 (talk) 11:52, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

Cats meow because they're cats. Dogs bark because they're dogs. So I guess you troll because you're a troll. That's not a very good response, and certainly not one to endear you to anyone. But you do posit an interesting hypothesis: "You'd miss me if I went." Being a website promoting the scientific method, I think it is best we test that hypothesis. - This is such self congratulatory backslapping from the mediocre intellects that reverted this site into a parody of rational debate and enlightenment. Gerard is an utter and absolute wanker, he is a despicable person, beneath my contempt. He is a cocksure, wikipedian geek with an authority complex intent on getting his way on just about everything. I think after 3+ years as Sterile (as a joke username at CP), I may rename myself to something more fun. I'm not quite sure what yet, though. Sterile lock shucker 01:51, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- I can rename you gential-itch if you like? AceX-102 01:54, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Or I can rename you flange-scrotum. DickTurpis (talk) 01:56, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- These suggestion just scream "fun". AceX-102 01:57, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Such tempting options. Sterile lock shucker 01:58, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Renaming is not all it's cracked up to be. Plus, people don't immediately recognize you as your prior username, which I found to be a pain. --The Emperor Kneel before Zod! 01:58, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Up or down voting? DickTurpis (talk) 01:59, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

- (EC, sorry to interrupt) It can take us old-timers years to remember who the hell you used to be. I suggest "Castrated". Or "Autoclaved". ħuman 02:01, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Autoclaved? Compared to Penis Pie? Are you sure? Sterile lock shucker 02:02, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I'll think about it. The repute thing is a good point. What would happen if I were de-linked to such classics as Fun:40-gon and Geraldine Ferraro Sterile lock shucker 02:08, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Heh[edit]
I wondered how long that would take you. 03:59, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Email[edit]
Did you get my e-mail? tmtoulouse 20:29, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hmmmmm, no, when did you send it? Resend? ħuman 20:51, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- I sent it to the human thoughts address, but I will resend to the gmail as well. tmtoulouse 20:53, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Odd, nothing in either box. ħuman 02:50, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- Replied. tmtoulouse 03:24, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ditto. I wonder why I didn't get the previous? ħuman 03:53, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

My God's Bigger Than Your God[edit]
I, personally, think this song should become RationalWiki's anthem. Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 05:52, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Hehe, a TrashionalWiki Anthem? ħuman 06:03, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yup, a TrashingallWiki anthem! It would be a very lumenating experience for the lumens of this Wiggy. Especially eir. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 06:06, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, Goonie. I now have "My God can beat up your God/Your God can suck on my rod" running through my head - David Gerard (talk) 14:26, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- No problems, DG. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 04:49, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

A message from the president of the Pat-On-The-Back Society[edit]
Huge, personal pat on the back for this edit. Well said. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 04:47, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- I almost fixed my typo, but now I think "not" reads better than "no". Thanks, Spunky. ħuman 04:53, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

But it was FUNNY[edit]
Awww... you're no fun. :P I'm starting my own wiki, where I can be super snarky, and retardedly stupid all the time...

Ok, I'm back, no one was contributing, and it sucked. --Eira OMTG! The Goat be Praised. 04:07, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Cheers!!![edit]
As of 8 hours from now, I'm out of town and away from this place for a while. While I'm gone, please enjoy a song I'd like to dedicate to Ed Poor. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 07:09, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Me and an ass?[edit]
No way. How could you say something like that? I am actually wonderful, I'm exciting, I look beautiful, I have lot of class, I am truly impressive - an ass is none of that. --Idiot number 59 (talk) 08:23, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed. Did I say something that assed you? Perhaps methinks a donkey? Or a burro? Or a burrito? ħuman 08:33, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- You clearly are an ass, writing such boring comments that I have nothing funny to answer. --Idiot number 59 (talk) 08:35, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Human Speakers[edit]
I didn't realise you actually built speakers, I always assumed you were just an on seller. - π 11:41, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- Meaning you never went to my website until Ken
decided to try to destroy my business along with Homosexuality, Atheism, something beginning with T, and Evolution on the innertubes? I have had customers in both the antipodean nations, by the way. ħuman 03:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have never read it in detail before, no. Surveying your prices though I don't think you are going to have another one in me any time soon, custom made speakers are a little pricey for my meagre student salary. Alas, I am going to have to go with the cheap china made plastic ones I was looking at the other day until I get a real job. - π 04:06, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- When I was your age I couldn't afford my prices, either (which are reasonable for the quality of the goods). But what I did was buy random stuff from surplus houses, build my own boxes, etc. Built lots of random crappy and not-so-crappy speakers, amplifiers, and even sort-of a turntable. ħuman 04:36, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

It's defenses are down! ATTACK!!!!! Lord Goonie Hooray! I'm helping! 02:39, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

WP links[edit]
do you care about User:Wpbot/wplist anymore? tmtoulouse 17:46, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Stop feeding the troll[edit]
Every time you chastise someone for trying to stop the troll, the troll orgasms. Unless your anti-trolling tactic is to get the troll's keyboard too sticky to type with, stop supporting a troll over a good user. It's no wonder he keeps coming back. EddyP (talk) 12:20, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- Seriously. I get the fear of banning people for no reason, but MC is obviously a worthless troll. I really do not understand... QuaruUS Navy aircraft carrier - You can't explain that! 12:51, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- Only reason I can think of is Human likes having the trolls around. It was pretty much the same with TK. Not exactly an encouraging thing for new users when they show up and RC and the Saloon Bar are full of troll shit with "Human Approved" stamped on it. --Kels (talk) 12:54, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- Only being here for ~3 months, I can vouch for this. QuaruUS Navy aircraft carrier - You can't explain that! 13:01, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

- There are excellent and logical reasons why "blatant griefers welcomed and protected" follows logically from the wiki mission statement and indeed the prospective foundation objectives, and why both of those would collapse utterly without protecting griefers and penalising those they're griefing. I have no idea what on earth those reasons could be, but I am fully confident a detailed explanation for the less perceptive of us is forthcoming - David Gerard (talk) 16:43, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- It's probably not useful to throw around "OH MY GOD YOU'RE TK", it's the local value of Hitler - David Gerard (talk) 14:14, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- David, seriously, why don't you go back to wikipedia? You are not funny, you alienate people, and you refuse to embrace the traditions and rules of this site. I just don't get it. 86.40.111.211 (talk) 17:00, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, exactly. You've only been here 3 months. And you still don't get this site. I suspect you never will. 86.40.111.211 (talk) 13:03, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah. You've been banned for 2 months. And still don't get it that you're a worthless piece of shit. I suspect you never will, cock breath.

Remember:
Hi, This is John's brother. I know he has been using this account for a variety of reasons, none of them productive for his troublesome history of mental health problems. For obvious reasons I don't want to go into details about this but suffice to say my mother and father have decided to withdraw his access from the internet for the duration of his most recent treatment process. I apologise on my brothers behalf for any problems he may have caused this website during his period of instability. As you know, his posts have been of a bizarre quality but that is merely a reflection of his real world mental anguishes. MarcusCicero (talk) 23:09, 11 July 2009 (UTC) |

And:
My glorious run has ended. This is not a case of 'leaving and never coming back', but more a case of 'burn out'. I created a personality on the internet so radically different from the real life version that I've forgotten even what trolls remorse feels like.. (You can thank Refugee over on RWW for providing the impetus) My highlights on RW:
One regret: Stooping to do the mental illness stunt. That was a terrible miscalculation. Adios RW! I may pop in from time to time, but at least now you'll know for sure than I'm a fully fledged troll! MarcusCicero 19:48, 5 December 2009 (UTC) |

On the other hand, the temptation to shake the ant farm and watch them scurrying to each others aid is far too great to overcome. MarcusCicero (talk) 10:45, 7 June 2010 (UTC) |

- What does this have to do with MC? Last I remember I was being critical of DG for blocking occasionaluse for getting into a "fuck off" war of words with Toast? And to the OP, weren't you the guy who wanted to install checkuser? Why don't we just defer all user management issues to the eminent DG, since he seems to know exactly who should be binned, blocked, and/or silenced? ħuman 20:49, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
